The 13th Annual Conference Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR), IFNRCON 2025 was held from 27th to 29th March 2025 at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana. This esteemed medical college was the perfect setting for this annual conference of IFNR, conducted with the theme Global implementation of evidence based practice in neuro rehabilitation. IFNR is the national body of all experts involved in Neurorehabilitation in the country and its annual conferences provide an ideal platform for neurorehabilitation professionals and students to learn from experts, get hand’s on training and also network with other neurorehab professionals from across the country. This conference was organized jointly by IFNR and the Neurorehab subsection of Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN).

In keeping with the theme, the sessions were about the latest developments in the neurorehabilitation field, driven by evidence based practice. Both national and international experts who were the faculty at this prestigious conference, shared their hands-on experience and guided the delegates on the implementation of such technological advances in day-to-day practice and patient care.

As has been the tradition in past events, IFNRCON 2025 was well attended by diverse professionals involved in patient care and neurorehabilitation like Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Rehab Physician, Developmental Paediatricians, Physical Therapists, Speech and Swallow Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Music Therapists, Special Educators, ENT Surgeons etc. The CMC campus, auditorium as well as medical and nursing college halls provided an excellent venue for such an academic event.

It was a busy day where delegates got to see and interact with experts and get hand’s-on experience with various aspects of neurorehabilitation. All workshops received very good participation and feedback from around 300 delegates who attended various sessions.

The 2 day-conference that followed, which was conducted in hybrid mode, witnessed very good attendance and participation from the delegates who got the opportunity to hear experts from across the country. Sessions like the Presidential Orations - WFNR & IFNR, the IFNR Oration and other joint sessions with various associations saw excellent delegate participation and interaction.

Young students, like always, were the driving force of IFNRCON 2025. Their participation and enthusiasm was visible in the Q & A of most sessions, the E-Poster presentations as well as the IFNR Neurorehab Quiz. Presentations by the winners of IFNR Young Investigator Award 2025 (YIA 2025) was also very well received and appreciated.

A key highlight of the last day was the Public forum session with support group, where patents / caregivers shared their experiences, problems, success stories and urged all professionals to join forces and work for supporting the patients and help them get their rights.

The conference went off very smoothly and received excellent feedback from all faculty and delegates. We place on record our gratitude and thanks to all faculty, delegates, trade partners and most of all to the CMC Ludhiana management and staff whose whole-hearted support made IFNRCON 2025 a grand success!!
