IFNRCON 2023

Indian Federation of Neurorehabilitation (IFNR) - the umbrella body of all experts involved in Neurorehabilitation in the country – held its 11th Annual Conference IFNRCON 2023 from 14th to 16th April 2023. Taking the initiative forward of reaching out to as many neurorehab professionals globally as possible, the conference was held as a Hybrid event. This ensured global participation in the conference - both delegates as well as faculty. IFNRCON 2023 was held jointly with the Neurorehabilitation sub-group of the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN).

There was a day of pre-conference Assisted Technology workshops followed by 2 days of the conference. Theme for IFNRCON 2023 was Reaching the Unreachable, Globally. Aim of the conference was to get experts from all fields involved in neurorehabilitation to present latest research and advances that are being used across the globe to improve quality of life of patients and evolve a standardized approach which can be replicated across centers. The conference was an ideal platform to learn and collaborate for all the professionals involved in patient care and neurorehabilitation like Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Rehab Physician, Developmental Paediatricians, Physical Therapists, Speech and Swallow Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Music Therapists, Special Educators etc.

The interactive format and hybrid platform ensured that the sessions had a two-way communication process where delegates could interact with the expert faculty, making the whole learning process personalized and fun. IFNRCON 2023 scientific program was a mix of joint symposia, guest lectures, orations and the neurorehab quiz which has very well received as always.

E-Poster presentations were planned for both days of the conference, with 1st and 2nd prizes for each day. In continuation of IFNRs commitment to encourage research by young professionals, 12 IFNR Young Fellowship Awards were given which included certificate and cash prize.

Public forum session with support group, were also organized for patents / caregivers to share their problems, success stories and to join forces and work for supporting each other and get their rights.
